Leaders of Leaders Podcast
Welcome to the Leaders of Leaders podcast. Proclaiming Christ is Lord of Leadership, on heaven and on earth. We believe that Jesus Christ is THE Leader of Leaders, Lord of lords, King of kings, and Ruler of all rulers. We combine His authority in heaven and on earth with our manifold real-world leadership experiences in business, education, church, and ministry to guide the next generation into leaders that lead leaders in Christ. This podcast interviews leaders from every area and avenue of life while submitting to the ultimate authority of Christ in every area of our lives. Leaders of Leaders is also a non-profit organization that was created to go beyond the model of developing followers, but instead we seek to develop leaders that develop leaders in Christ, and we do so through yearly events, speaking engagements, consulting, e-courses, and a discipleship app for individuals and churches called Discipled in Christ.

Sitting with God by Rich Lewis on Leaders of Leaders Podcast with Aaron Guyett
Rich Lewis is an author, speaker and coach who focuses on centering prayer as a means of inner transformation. He teaches centering prayer in both his local and virtual community and offers one-on-one coaching. Rich’s newest book is titled, Sitting with God: A Journey To Your True Self Through Centering Prayer.
He publishes a weekly meditation, book reviews, and interviews on his site, Silence Teaches. He has published articles for a number of organizations, including Contemplative Light, Abbey of the Arts, Contemplative Outreach, EerdWord, In Search of a New Eden, the Ordinary Mystic at Patheos, and the Contemplative Writer.
Rich has been a daily practitioner of centering prayer since June 1, 2014. Centering prayer has been so life-giving and life-changing that he feels compelled to share his journey with others who wish to learn more. Rich resides with his family in Waxhaw, North Carolina.
In 2013, Rich began to dabble in silent prayer, a term that’s often used as synonymous with centering prayer. He had heard and read that silence can transform you. He wanted to experience this transformation too.
He would force himself to sit in silence. He began to test how long He could sit there. He started with one minute and increased it to three and even four minutes. It was difficult!
Silence and silent prayer are counter-cultural. They are very challenging to cultivate because everything in our culture seems to point in another direction. Yet, surprisingly, it is in silence that he has found profound transformation. And that is the motivation for writing this book. He wants to share what he has discovered.
The point of this book is to share his centering-prayer sojourn with you. His hope is that his journey will help you with your journey. Centering prayer is not a race. It is a long-term marathon. Centering prayer practiced daily, monthly, yearly will transform you. It does not replace other forms of prayer; it complements them.
